Participants at the Colorado Black Health Collaborative(CBHC) 1oth Family Reunion/Block Party event on August 26, 2017, were treated to great food. Featured in this article are links to the foods provided by Chef Lisa. “We want the recipe!”, was the refrain heard as people walked away from Chef Lisa’s Station at the Dahlia Campus for Health and Well Being, https://mhcd.org/dahlia-campus-for-health-well-being/.

Chef Lisa, a personal chef, was born in Louisiana and pursued different professions before she settled on her passion, cooking and preparing healthy meals.  She received her training from Culinary Business Academy and Culinary School of the Rockies.  CBHC has worked with Chef Lisa for many years.  She has prepared food for our various events and serves on our Health Coalition to help insure that we are doing all that we can to improve the health of the Black community.

As she promised to the Block Party crowd, Chef Lisa has provided the recipes for the Watermelon, Strawberry, and Tomatillo Salad and the Turkey Taco Salad.
